Opening March 1 through 10 is Samuel D. Hunter’s A CASE FOR THE EXISTENCE OF GOD, winner of the 2022 Drama Critics’ Circle Award for Best Play. Hunter is a very accomplished playwright, perhaps best known for his film script THE WHALE. Our production features Dennis Renard (winner of the Desert Theatre League performance in CHOIR BOY) and Jacob Alden Roa (nominated by the Desert Theatre League for his performance in THE GARBOLOGISTS). A CASE FOR THE EXISTENCE OF GOD unfolds in an office cubical, where two people discover that they are outsiders to the systems that control their fate. The New York Times says, “Samuel D. Hunter’s heartbreaking new play argues for hope even in the face of extreme disappointment.”
