Thanks Kay Kudukis of Palm Springs Life for your article about Cathy Schenkelberg’s one-woman show, SQUEEZE MY CANS. Schenkelberg has toured all over the world and has won “Pick of the Fringe” in Hollywood, Adeleide, Vancouver, Calgary and Edinburgh over the past few years. But her show actually had its start in Palm Springs at the home of her one-of-a-kind friend, Scott Smith. Smith, an actor/director in the Coachella Valley, passed away suddenly a year ago from a heart attack. But it was Smith who encouraged her to write a play about her experiences in and out of Scientology. She will be performing her show as a benefit performance for Dezart Performs and the Scott Smith Scholarship Fund October 7th and 8th at the Desert Rose Playhouse.
