There's no shortage of laughs, from tuneful one-liners, to entire numbers. And act two is a work of lyrical comic genius.

Stephanie Lynne Mason (Trina)

Stephanie is honored to be a part of this beautiful, poignant show and thrilled to make her Dezart Playhouse debut. Favorite credits include playing Hodl in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF in Yiddish directed by Joel Grey, covering the principal daughters in the 2016 Broadway Revival of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, touring the country as Dyanne in MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET as well as Carole King in BEAUTIFUL, Guenivere in CAMELOT, Franca in THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA, Louise in GYPSY and Mrs. Fezziwig in A CHRISTMAS CAROL regionally. Special thanks to Michael, Stephen, Dennis, Nancy and Drew.

Skylar Gaines (Mendel)

Skylar has been a huge fan of FALSETTOS ever since he was young enough to play Jason (though he’s thus far refused to share the math on exactly how long that’s been). FALSETTOS also happens to be his Palm Springs debut for which he is absolutely ecstatic, mostly because the show’s run stops just short of the summer heat. Previously, he could be seen in JERSEY BOYS (Bob Crewe & Others) and LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS (Orin Scrivello & Others) regionally across Southern California. This makes FALSETTOS a particularly special production in that Skylar gets to stop typing “others” in his bio like he’s got something to hide. He’s also excited to be bringing new work to the stages of SoCal and beyond, such as last year’s TABLETOP: THE MUSICAL, or the upcoming productions of THE GREAT AGE OF SAIL (lead) and AN EVENING ALONE WITH NATALIE WOOD (directing). William Spitz, he/him (Jason)

William Spitz, he/him (Jason) is making his Dezart Performs debut! 12 years old and in 6th grade, Spitz is a super fan of musical theater. Ask him to “name that tune” after the show! He enjoys piano, tennis, jazz, tap and mathematics. Spitz has performed in productions throughout the SF Bay Area, including FUN HOME (Christian), A CHORUS LINE JR. (Paul), THE SOUND OF MUSIC (Kurt), SHREK (Donkey), ALADDIN (Genie), MATILDA (Bruce) and many more. He is thrilled to be a part of FALSETTOS. Passionate about social justice, Spitz believes peace and equality are the most beautiful things. He is thankful for the support of the cast, crew, family and friends. https://ephemeral-sunshine-9a60dd.netlify.app/

Laura Stearns (Dr. Charlotte)

Laura has been working in professional theater, both on and off stage, since the age of thirteen. She is an accomplished actor, director, designer, and playwright who possesses a diverse production skill set and ran the Wig and Makeup department at the world-renowned Guthrie Theater for over a decade before moving to Southern California in 2023. Locally, Laura won the 2024 DTL award for Best Direction for THE WOMAN IN THE MIRROR, designed and fabricated the puppets for AVENUE Q, and she played Norma Baxter in PERFECT ARRANGEMENT at The Bent. Laura is thrilled to be part of the Dezart Performs family, taking on multiple roles this season as a production manager, costumes and props designer and is overjoyed to be cast in Falsettos. Laura is a p
